The Queen's C of E
Primary School

An action-packed day!

After a delicious breakfast of freshly-baked croissants and pains au chocolat, we headed to the quiet village of Brie-Comte-Robert.

The pupils’ language skills were put to the test as they faced a series of questions that required them to make their way around the village, using their understanding of directions and instructions in French as each group attempted to complete the treasure hunt ahead of their rivals.  Queen’s then took the market by storm, buying up everything from baseball caps to bracelets and watches to souvenirs.  Even some of the teachers were drawn into the shopping frenzy…

After lunch back at the ranch, the children took on some of the on-site activities: climbing, abseiling, archery and the team challenge.  This was followed by a cooling swim, some free time to relax and enjoy the surroundings of the Château and then dinner.  The final activity of the day was a campfire evening, with stories, songs, games and the obligatory toasted marshmallows!

What an action-packed day!  Phew!
