A-Orchestra is open to children in Years 5 and 6 who have reached approximately Grade 1 standard. Younger Juniors can also join if they're already making good progress on their instruments. The music is challenging - some is up to Grade V standard and stretches our most advanced players - but simpler parts are available and parent helpers support the children, so everyone can enjoy playing at their own level. Please make sure your child brings their instrument every Thursday - they make fantastic progress.

As well as school and community concerts, the children occasionally play in special events such as the concert with Kew Sinfonia - and in recent years, children have also played with the Richmond Orchestra and in the regional heat of "Music For Youth" at Morley College in Waterloo.
