Photos - Maple Class Spring Assembly

On Friday February 27, 2HB Maple presented their Busy Bee Assembly to a packed audience of pupils, parents and staff.

The children looked fantastic in their bee costumes and the stage was fantastically lit and dressed.  The opening number was full of energy and had the audience looking forward to an entertaining time.  Entertaining it certainly was, with great songs, dance routines and some very professional acting.  However, the show had a definite dark side and message to impart – that we’re not all the same and we should all work hard to think about and include others.  It was a great way to bring home the message and left everyone in the audience thinking about it as well as humming the closing number.

The Assembly was also Mrs Bourke’s last for the present as Friday was also her last day before starting maternity leave.  Mrs Bourke was (almost) speechless as the whole school sang an especially composed song to her and she was presented with class, PSA and Governor gifts.

Good luck Mrs Bourke and we look forward to seeing you and your baby very soon!
