Sports Relief 2012
March 21st saw the Queen’s Community joining together in a day of fund raising for Sports Relief. Most pupils and members of staff entered the “Great Q Bake Off” which was judged during the day by a select band of judges and the discerning pupils of Year 6.
Each year group took part in the “Run a Mile for Sport Relief” and were joined by parents and staff. Everyone was encouraged to wear fancy dress or sports kit and the result was certainly colourful as well as fun.
Finally, at the end of the day, Queen’s were represented by three children on the Sports Relief “Warm Up Show" on BBC1, who proudly told the presenters and TV audience all about the fantastic day we had.
We are very proud to say that we raised £3116.00 for the charity.
