World Book Day 2012

Queens celebrated World Book Day in style on March 1st!

We started the day with a Pooh family breakfast where much fun was had by all including ho ney muffins and lots of reading.

We were very fortunate to have not one but three authors visit us to talk about their work, read to the children and hold workshops about their craft.

We had creative writing workshops with the help of journalists from the national press.

The children all received a special World Book day book token which many choose to spend at an especially arranged Usborne Book Fair.

All children have been invited to take part in the 2012 Dreams Poetry Competition arranged in conjunction with the London Borough of Richmond.

Finally, it wouldn't be World Book Day without children and staff dressing up as their favourite book characters!

The best dressed characters from each year group can be seen below.
