If I had a pound ...

If I had a pound...

...for every time a child asked me, "Are we there yet?" yesterday, I would be a very rich man indeed!

Our journey to France began very early in the morning and took most of the day, but passed quite quickly in the end.  We arrived in Dover in good time and after a slightly choppy crossing, we were on the (other side of the) road in France. Armed with DVDs of "The Lion KIng" and "Frozen", we journeyed to Paris to rousing renditions of "The Circle of Life" and "Let It Go", stopping off on the way at a traditional French cholocate factory located in a quaint rural village.  Having learned about how chocolate is manufactured and tasted the product (purely for quality control reasons of course), the children then visited the shop to purchase gifts for their families.  Whether or not these gifts will be eaten before they reach their intended recipients, I cannot predict...

On arrival at the PGL centre the children were treated to a hearty meal and then given an opportunity to stretch their legs and let off some steam with a game outdoors before bedtime.
