New School Celebration
Queen's formally celebrates its new school!
The children, staff and Queen's community enjoyed a day of celebration on 23rd May 2018 to bless the new school and recall our rich history.
The Right Reverend Jonathan Clark, Chair of the Southwark Diocesan Board of Education, led our collective worship followed by a formal ribbon cutting executed beautifully by the Headteacher, Miss Katie Bentham.
One of the highlights of the day's events was a theatre in the round performance, which included all year groups telling stories from the 1800s to the present day. We were blessed by sunny weather for the tea party and children's picnics that followed, which included guests from our local churches and schools, King's School alumni, the Southwark Diocese Board of Education, the Local Authority and the teams who supported the new build over the years.
A heartfelt thank you from the Staff and Governors for all who participated in planning and supporting this great day.
