Queen's Footie Success
A bright, sunny and warm afternoon saw boys from Years 4, 5 and 6 achieve fantastic results in the inaugural Kings House School Primary School Football Tournament
A bright, sunny and warm afternoon saw a squad of 26 boys from Years 4, 5 and 6, 3 members of staff and a whole host of transport drivers and supporters journey to the lavish KSH Stadium in Chiswick.
Queen’s had been invited to take part in the very first KSH primary football tournament together with three other schools. Each team was to play four or five matches in what proved to be a fast moving and skillful contest. Each squad played extremely well especially considering how little (or not at all in the case of the Yr4 squad) they had played together as team before. Each one of the boys was a credit to Queen’s School in the way that they behaved during the afternoon and the truly high level of sportsmanship and discipline they showed on the field. Their determination and skill was duly rewarded with the Yr5 team winning their tournament and the Yr4 and Yr6 teams finishing as runners-up.
The afternoon was made special by the guest appearance of Lawrence Dallaglio (a KSH old-boy) to present the trophies and medals and by a slap-up tea of sausage and chips!Well done to all the boys who took part, thank you to all of the supporters and a huge thank you to those parents that provided transport to and from the venue
