Living Eggs at Queen's!
February saw the arrival of our “living eggs” at school. This is an exciting project for the children as they get to see eggs hatch and new chicks develop.
The Living Eggs Project enables our children to see first-hand part of the life of a chicken. Each class has seen the eggs and the chicks and we have linked this project into our lessons talking about life cycles and topics such as farming and food production. You can find out more about the project here http://www.livingeggs.co.uk/hatch-a-chick/ as well as ethical statements.
We set up a webcam to record some of the hatching process and you can see a video clip from this here.
