The Queen's C of E
Primary School

Our School Prayers

We have three prayers that are used regularly in Queen's School.  Our school prayer is often used in school assemblies and helps us to than God our school and what it means to us.  The lunchtime prayer below is usually sung in KS1 and a form of Grace is used in KS2 where the children will often devise their own.  Our end of school prayer is often sung and helps to thank God for our day in school.  The birthday bells prayer is written by the children and gives their own thanks to God on the occassion of their birthday.  You can download a PDF version of the birthday bells prayer template for your child to write at the bottom of the page.

Queen's School Prayer.

Bless O Lord our school.

Unite our hearts with love and peace.

Help us to listen, learn and understand.

That we may grow in your strength and love.

Through  Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Lunch Time Prayer

The Lord is good to me.

And so I thank the Lord

For giving me, the things I need

The sun and the rain and the apple seed.

The Lord is good to me.

For every seed that grows

Will grow into a tree.

And one day soon there’ll be apples there

For everyone in the world to share.

The Lord is good to me.

End of Day Prayer

We thank you Father for today,

And all the work we’ve done.

For help we have been given,

For our learning and our fun.
