The Queen's School PSA
PARENT STAFF ASSOCIATION (PSA)
The PSA brings together the whole Queen’s community to support the school, fundraise and have fun. As a group we offer assistance to the school which helps enhance the communication between parents and teachers. The PSA also provides a forum for social activities for children and parents and organises events to raise funds for the school. The events during the year include the Summer and Christmas Fairs, Children’s Discos, Quiz and Comedy Nights, Cake Sales and the Summer Picnic.
2017 - 2018 Committee Members
Lucy Steward – Chair
Kate Bradley – Vice Chair
Inga Hall – Secretary
Mat Shepard – Treasurer
Krystyna Tsochlas – Class Rep Coordinator
There are also around 20 other committee members who support the PSA events.
WHAT WE DO
- All parents are automatically members of the PSA. Informal meetings are held on a regular basis at school which allow parents and staff to attend. Involvement in the PSA is a good way to meet other parents and become involved in the life of Queen’s.
- Our main focus is to raise funds for the school to purchase equipment or facilities that the school could not otherwise afford. Over the last few years we have funded the KS2 Fortress play area, the KS1 activity playground, enhanced our fabulous new library, provided funding to help enhance the variety of sports experiences at Queen’s and most recently to help update the School’s ICT equipment.
Last term, the Queen’s School Governors and PSA joined together to initiate the Create a Brighter Future campaign to run alongside the exciting new build of Queen’s School. The new build facilitated by the Priority School Building Programme (PSBP) will provide us with a beautiful new school, but it will be up to us to raise the funds for additional amenities and features.
Be part of this historical time in our school's history as we raise funds for our new school. Look out for the logo on our PSA activities.
