Welcome to the
Year Two learning page.
Hello everyone, we are really missing you already. We want you to know, we are really proud of all the learning you are doing at home. We hope you are having fun and are enjoying sharing your work with your family.
Whilst you are unable to come into school, we want you to be able to keep on learning and to feedback on the fantastic hard work you are doing.
Therefore, we are no longer updating this page with new learning but will see you all on Google Classroom. There you will find the weekly tasks have been set for Maths, English and other subjects. Although now you will be able to upload work and share your learning with us. We are excited to see what you produce. (Please see parent mail about how to log in and access this resource.)
Please note that there is no pressure to complete all the learning set, try to do what you can, when you can. Use the suggested timetable as a guide only.
Our suggested timetable
Why don't you start your day with some fun exercise or movement. Try to have some creative time in your day - drawing, painting, junk modelling, playing and making music. Factor in some quiet time for puzzles or board games with your family.
How can I complete learning at home if I cannot access Google Classroom?
We are very aware that this change won’t be suitable for everyone. So if you have limited time on a computer or are unable to access Google Classroom, there are lots of things you can do to keep learning going. We recommend that at the very least you keep the following skills going:
- Daily reading
- Times table practice - 2s, 5s, 10s. Multiplication and division facts for all.
- Phonics: Phase 5 phonics.
- Spellings: Year 2 common exception words.
There are also fantastic learning opportunities provided by Oak academy and the BBC.
